XPAND 3D will be providing its industry leading 3D cinema technology for the upcoming 71st Venice Film festival. The 71st Venice International Film Festival, organized by La Biennale di Venezia, will run on Venice Lido from 27th August to 6th September 2014, directed by Alberto Barbera.
Venice Film Festival, a part of the Venice Biennale, founded in 1895, well-known for the International Film Festival, the International Architecture Exhibition and the International Art Exhibition, is one of the most prestigious as well as the oldest international film festivals in the world.
Bringing XPAND’s 3D technology to one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world for so many years in a row has proven XPAND’s world leading position when quality of 3D cinema is in question.
“XPAND has been continuously praised for quality by renowned directors and festivals alike. We take this as a great honor but also as our commitment to our clients and moviegoers. Quality of reproduction of work of such great talents should never be compromised,” said Maria Costeira, CEO of XPAND 3D. “I’m both excited and humbled by recognition XPAND 3D has been receiving from such a prominent festival.”
XPAND 3D will be providing 5000 new active shutter glasses as well as equipping over 4000 seats in four of the largest theaters: Sala Grande (Palazzo del Cinema), Sala Darsena (via Candia), Sala Volpi (Casinò) and Sala Zorzi (QC – Palazzo del Cinema). 3 XPAND Four Kits, 2 XPAND Two Kits and 1 XPAND Super Power Kit for special venues that will include 7 emitters along with 13 XPAND glasses troleys will be deployed during the festival.
