Sounds incredible: a combination of 3D and a live stage show!

Ungra 3D – the first ever theatrical 3D play

Theodora Nadoleanu as director and Katia Lopetti as 3D director joined their creativity and set up a theatre play, where live stage performance and stereoscopic 3D projection are combined into a unique theatrical scenery. The play is called Ungra 3D and debuted in September. If you are in Rome, check it out. At XPAND we are honoured to be the technical partner of such a innovative approach to art! You can read more about the show (in Italian) in Meta Magazine.

The 70th Convention of the French Cinema Theater Owners Association

As it’s the case for 10 years now, the organizers had selected XPAND 3D active system with XPAND X103 active glasses to present all the 3D line-up that will be released in the next months. More than 2.000 exhibitors took place in the large Deauville auditorium to attend the distributors line-up that were presented on a 20M white screen.

XPAND 3D active solution is the preferred choice in France of directors that refuse the alteration of their images due to the use of silver screen. It’s also the choice of exhibitors that want to offer to their audience the best 3D quality.

XPAND’s NU.I.ON at Web Summit in Dublin

XPAND's Extended Reality Division, NU.I.ON. (pronounced as New Eye On), is currently at Web Summit in Dublin, Ireland, where we are presenting interactive VR experiences. The demo uses the Leap Motion Controller, precise tracking and near-zero latency of which makes it possible to reach into virtual worlds and manipulate them with bare hands.

“We are experimenting with VR/AR headsets, positional tracking cameras and sensors to enhance our next generation C.A.V.E. (Cave Automatic Virtual Environment) solutions for industrial interaction – from virtual prototyping of rockets to architectural walk through experiences and collaborative virtual environments.” said David Chechelashvili, co-founder of NU.I.ON. “The most effective way to interact with virtual and augmented reality is the original human interface – our hands. We merge both virtual and physical realities into one seamless experience providing the user with a more hands-on approach. We call this Extended Reality.”
