Famous La Géode in Paris using XPAND 3D Glasses


With a 1.000 sq. m screen, la Géode in Paris is one of the largest half dome screen in the world.

In order to offer new digital content to its audience, la Geode has installed a brand new 4K digital equipment and is using XPAND Infinity 3D Glasses. At XPAND we take great pride at such an eminent venue deciding for a product from our lineup.

“New Product” Award for Amblyz™ by International 3D Society


The 4th Annual International 3D Society Awards recognized XPAND 3D with an award for industry innovation with the new product Amblyz™ Glasses.

Each year the International 3D Society recognizes outstanding international achievement in 3D innovation and impact through its 3D Technology Awards. With this years theme being “New Products”, the awards will focused on the new 3D products in the marketplace that are driving the industry forward. On Wednesday September 18th I3DS presented the award for New Product to XPAND Amblyz™ at a special luncheon held at Paramount Pictures Studios.

XPAND 3D Continues To Be Exclusive 3D Supplier With Venice Film Festival – this year marked the fifth time for XPAND to be the chosen 3D partner for the festival.

XPAND 3D cinema system was used for the festival’s premiere of much-anticipated film Gravity, directed by Alfonso Cuarón. Director has been very clear about the choice of 3D system: "I am very happy XPAND Glasses were used for the projection."

XPAND 3D continues for the 5th year in a row to be the exclusive 3D supplier for the prestigious San Sebastian Film Festival. The festival will take place from September 20-28 in the picture-esque city of San Sebastian, Spain. Hugh Jackman and Carmen Maura will be receiving the Donostia Honorary Award in recognition for their work and career.

XPAND 3D™ at International Stereoscopic Union Congress


Every two years, the International Stereoscopic Union organizes an International Congress for 3D enthusiasts and professionals – this year the congress took place in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The ISU congress is typically a one-week event with several hundred participants. During the congress there are many 3D projections, digital image and multimedia shows, trading-tables, exhibitions, workshops, excursions bringing together 3D enthusiasts from all over the world. Being Official sponsor of the event, XPAND also provided customized XPAND Passive 3D glasses for the screenings as well as presenting a workshop at the event.

Convention of French Cinema National Association September 24 – 26, Deauville, France

Being established as top choice for festivals and other cinema events, XPAND 3D was again selected to be official 3D supplier at the annual French Exhibitors Cinema Convention in Deauville for the third time in a row.
